Pitch Sessions with ASJ Publishing

Pitch Sessions with ASJ Publishing

I'm excited to announce that ASJ Publishing will be taking pitches during the Promo Day 2019 event on Saturday 11th May.

About ASJ Publishing

Website: http://www.asjpublishing.com/hybrid-publishing/

ASJ Publishing was founded in 2010 by Award winning author, C.A.Milson (Chris Jackson), and officially launched in August 2012.

From the time we opened our virtual doors until now, ASJ Publishing continues to change with the times. Until 2015, our focus was solely POD, Ebooks and Audiobooks. By the end of 2015, our focus expanded to the world of music, film and Virtual Reality. ASJ Publishing is also an Indie Film Production company (with two series for TV already released), Music Distributor, and the first publishing house to release Virtual Reality books on the Oculus Rift.

In late 2018, we moved away from Traditional Publishing and into Hybrid Publishing. While there are authors who have a great story to tell, what eludes a lot of authors is the aspect of Marketing. Hence our Hybrid Publishing was born.

As of January 2019, we are a member of the IBPA (Independent Book Publishers Association).

It is my vision to be a pioneer and change the way people think about Literature and the Arts. ~ Chris Jackson. As Robert Kennedy once said, “Some men see things as they are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were, and ask why not.“

Not even the gods noticed when Chariss was born with the mark of The Protector. Now she and her wizard guardian seek shelter from a mad sorcerer in a household not just full of secrets and false hope, but watched by the god who will unwittingly reveal her role in an impending war. When an orphan sets aside a lifetime of running and fear to accept the responsibilities of guarding an arrogant deity, can she face the trials in the prophecies she uncovers? Will Nigel Taiman of her latest refuge dare to use his dragon heritage to bind her to his estate or to help her in her duty?

There’s no doubt: Chariss is in danger. Her geasa is hampered by the effects of a friend’s marriage. The dashing Nigel Taiman hides something from her, yet demands she stay at his family’s estate where he and her wizard guardian intend to keep her safe. But the sorcerer Lord Drake and Julette The Betrayer know she’s there, and their monstrous army marches that way. When prophecies stack up to threaten an arrogant deity, Chariss must choose between the dragon that courts her and the ostracized kings of the Southlands for help. Evil stalks her at every turn and madness creeps over the goddess who guides her. Can an orphan-turned-Protector resist the dark side of her heritage? Or will she sacrifice all to keep her god-charge safe?

The battles fan the gates of the dark spirit world releasing demons of every species to aid the enemy, but Emperor Nigel Taiman brings Malachi's power to the Arcanan Army's camp in hopes of tipping the balance in his bride's favor. Dangerous times call for strange allies from all quarters. To restore the geasa that will save the god she's sworn to protect, Amanda Chariss must escape the very Betrayer's grasp and make choices for the good of all. Does she have the will to sacrifice all that she holds dear in the process? Dive into the action-packed conclusion of the Choices trilogy to discover how prophecy works with and against those who would heed it.

When the mysterious owner of the bed-and-breakfast begins to bring out more than the Christmas spirit in Jennifer, the forces that have been holding her in check get angry. Caleb Odan and his enabling staff of merrymakers might turn this vacation back into the romantic and magical time it’s supposed to be, if they can figure out what they’ve invited into their midst before it threatens both Jennifer and Caleb’s existence.

2019 Webinar: Relaunching Your Book with Drae Box

#PromoDay2019 Webinar: Relaunching Your Book with Drae Box

Webinar: Relaunching Your Book

Presenter: Drae Box

#PromoDay2019 Webinar: Relaunching Your Book with Drae Box

What you'll learn:

If you've made the decision to relaunch your series, or are considering it, what's the next step? In November 2017, Drae made the decision to relaunch her series. This would mean re-releasing books one and two of The Common Kingdoms Series, more editor costs and losing all momentum in building her readership. In 2019, her experience of relaunching a series will come to an end with the release of all five books in the series as part of a rapid-release launch. In this webinar, Drae shares how her master document helped her stay on track and figure out everything that she needed to do and/or consider and some of the questions she had to ask herself so she knew what she was doing.

Join us on Saturday 11th May 2019.

All webinars will be available on demand through out the day.

The Great First Impression Book Proposal:
Everything You Need To Know To Sell Your Book in 30 Minutes or Less
From the HowToDoItFrugally Series of books for writers
ISBN: 1453690956
ISBN-13: 9781453690956

The perfect learning experience for those who want to learn how to wow an editor in no time flat with only $6.95 out-of-pocket and 30 minutes out of a busy schedule.
This booklet is the result of multi award-winning author Carolyn Howard-Johnson’s extensive work with clients who hate writing book proposals and hate learning how to write them even more. She found herself coaching them through the process rather than doing it for them, for who could possibly recreate the passion an author feels for his or her own book better than the author? In doing so, she found she had written a booklet—not a tome—that took her clients only about thirty minutes to absorb. Voila! The Great First Impression Book Proposal was born.
“When I first reviewed Carolyn Howard-Johnson's small book here in 2010, little did I realize how dog-eared my paperback copy would get over time. I've been through it and bookmarked it so many times that it's tattered beyond belief, but I cannot get rid of it. It appears that Ms. Howard-Johnson has also released it in an updated edition, and that's why my review predates this one. And please note that now The Great First Impression Book Proposal is available as a Kindle edition. As a Prime member I could” have borrowed it for free, but since I know already how many highlights there will be, it was worth buying again in the Kindle edition. If you're an aspiring writer in any genre, it's well worth it.” ~John Williamson, Top 1000 Amazon Vine Reviewer

This little booklet—discounted on Amazon—is part of Kindle’s Matchbook program. When you buy the paperback on Amazon, you get a free e-copy, too! Maybe one could be a gift for a writing friend.
Unsolicited Endorsements for The Great First Impression Book Proposal

“I just finished reading The Great First Impression Book Proposal.I like your style and encouragement. I was a bit intimidated about finishing my book proposal. I was thinking it had to be stiff and boring. I even have dialogue in it. I thought I’d have to cut it out. Now, I’ll probably leave it in.”
~Wanza Leftwich, author, blogger
“’This is a really smart proposal,’ was one comment from an agent who went on to sell my nonfiction book to a publisher. The ‘smartest’ thing about it? I used Carolyn's guide to write it!”
~ Treacy Colbert, medical writer and author of End Your Menopause Misery
“I love [Great First Impression Book Proposal]! My husband was amazed at all the info crammed into this short book. You could have charged a lot more. I just re-vamped my proposal to follow the guidelines in it for my latest book.”
~ Myrna Lou, palmist, psychic, and author
“Marketing is never easy . . . . Well, it might be if you follow the easy steps Carolyn Howard-Johnson offers up in The Great First Impression Book ProposalEverything You Need to Know About Selling Your Book in Thirty Minutes or Less. Howard-Johnson’s bulleted lists are superior. They are easy to understand, easy to implement, and even easier to read. (She means it when she says thirty minutes or less). She gives us even more: A list of other resources on book proposals. I will recommend this book to all of our authors and potential authors at LadybugPress.”
~ Georgia Jones, Editor in Chief, LadybugPress and NewVoices, Inc.
