How the #PromoDay2016 Webinars Work

Saturday is fast approaching and I'm sure you can't wait to dive into all the free webinars. In today's post we'll take a quick look at how the webinars work.

  • The first thing to do is register for the event. Do this by clicking Register Now. It's completely free, and quick and easy to do.
  • Log in to the forums using your username and password. 
  • Now scroll down to the Learn section and click on the webinar thread. Here you'll find a list of all the free webinars available during the event.
  • All the webinars will be available all day long so you can hop in and out throughout the day.
  • Should you have a question for the presenter, want to give feedback, or just let them know how much you appreciate the webinar you can click on the reply button on the bottom right of their post.

Molten Publishing has confirmed they will be taking pitches during this years Promo Day event on Saturday 14th May.

Molten Publishing is a new dynamic publishing house passionate about phenomenal young adult fiction. 
Formed by two bookworms, one a writer, the other a speaker, Molten knows how words can shape lives. The publishing industry can be a daunting place but here at Molten we're excited by the words and the story - feel free to let your characters do the talking! 
We love fast paced, action packed rides with a protagonist to cheer for!
*Please note we are only accepting young adult fiction*
Please submit a brief cover letter telling us how excited you are about your story, a synopsis (we'll give you two whole pages!), and the first five chapters of your manuscript.

Bio:


Gail is an Emmy award-winning television producer, writer and executive with more than 35 years of experience in the development and production of television programming and the management of major broadcast operations.

As President of Gail Yancosek Consulting she continues work in the corporate world training executives, spokespeople and authors for on-camera appearances. Along with her partners Carol Anne Riddell and Susan Iger, GYC produces digital conversations and long-form videos for authors and publishers, leaders in the pet industry, health care industry, and in theatre and the arts. 

She also serves as Executive in Charge of Production for CUNY TV, handling the development and production of both new and established shows for the station.

As Vice President and Executive Producer at Fox 5 NY for the live, early morning broadcast “Good Day New York” and its related programs in the 1990’s, she was responsible for the daily show’s rank as the #1 morning show in the New York market.

Gail earned a BA from Fordham University, has several EmmyTM nominations and awards to her credit.

I’m sure you’ve all heard the expression that a picture is worth a thousand words…in fact, that platitude has been bouncing around the US press ever since the 1920’s.

While the concept doesn’t necessarily warm itself to the hearts of great authors and writers, we will illustrate in our fifteen minutes of fame…how the use of succinct and meaningful video can enhance and endear writers to their readers... to their publishers... and even to those all-important producers at those morning talk shows!!

Gail Yancosek Consulting produces videos with authors speaking to an established journalist that live on the authors’ websites and can be used for countless promotional opportunities.  For the readers, these videos add a human face to the emotional connection they already have to their favorite authors and favorite books.  For the publishers, the videos offer reasonably priced digital branded content that sells books.  And for the morning show producers looking for fun and interesting folks to fill their airtime, the videos offer a look at how well an author relates to the camera.

Inherent in the production of these videos, is the all-important component of media training.  For writers and authors, the ability to respond quickly and succinctly to any on-air question is priceless.


We will outline and explain the various aspects of how to achieve these goals, the necessary components of the video, various ways of producing them and how to use them and who to send them to.

Young Adult Fiction, Business Books, Cookbooks, How-To, Christian Fiction/Non-Fiction, Historical Fiction, Sci-fi, Poetry & Inspirational, *Audiobooks (in same categories).

Not accepting: Children's books, Romance, Erotica.
Authors are to include in their pitch:

- Synopsis
- Background - Working Title - Word Count
- Detailed Marketing Plans (Generic Marketing Plans will not be considered)


*Audiobooks must be in the format compatible for upload to our distribution network.

Author must not be previously published.

When and where is the conference?

The Promo Day event takes place right here at www.PromoDay.info in the event forums on Saturday 30th May. You just need to register for access.

Is it really free?

Yes it is. Promo Day is completely free to attend and open to everyone.

How do I register for the event?

Just click on "Register Now" in the navigation bar above and fill out your log in details.

If I've registered for past events, do I need to register again this year?

No. Your log in details have been saved on the system and can be used again. 

What if I've forgotten my password?

As long as you know the email address you used you can still log in without re-registering. Just click "forgot password" and you'll get sent it in an email.

Can I invite others to the event?

I'd love you to invite others to the event. The more the merrier! 

How can I become an event sponsor?
